Tokyo Sex Destruction Live in Timisoara 27 Februarie @ Setup Club

Si fiinca tot recomand evenimente si am intrziat destul mult uitati aici, un eveniment ce merita vizitat si absolut deloc pierdut din vedere:

TOKYO SEX DESTRUCTION

Talk about Kickin out the Jams, Spain's most recent calling to the MC5 is the radically refined garage rock'n roll/psychedelic explosion called Tokyo Sex Destruction. Their LP "Le Red Soul Communitee (10 points program)" features 10 Rock'n roll hits that are filled with "yeah yeahs", syncopated claps, guitar breaks, vocal leads, dance steps and catchy choruses - this album is explosive! On one hand TSD generates sounds more like The Sonics or Sly and The Family Stone but with the same political element as bands like International Noise Conspiracy. Ben Swank of Soledad Brothers says live "they remind me of the same energy as the Datsuns" with their wild shows. Playing over 100 shows a year (with France being their strongest market), TSD has started to become a strong European and Japanese entity. Their LP "Black Noise is the New Sound!" was produced by (and features) Michael Davis of the MC5. All power to the people motherfuckers!

Tokyo Sex Destruction have probably had the most metheorical ascension for a BCore band. Because since their debut in 2002 it's been only three years for such an extreme hyper-activity. More than 100 gigs per year, three long-play albums and two EPs are a lot of work, and also the reason of their success. A success that has trespassed spanish frontiers to make them an band with european entity, being nowadays France the best market for their music. Everything started with the aggressive electricity of their debut "Le Red Soul Communitee (10 points program)" in 2002, a discharge of garage-punk full of social awareness, that put them from night to day in the first line of spanish rock 'n roll scene. That was the moral injection needed by this potentially huge band to reach an outstanding position. With the benefit of audience and media they decided that it was the right time to take it seriously and tour and record continuously until nowadays. A vinyl single split with Zeidun through SixWasNine Records, followed by the EP "The big red box for the syndicate of emotions" in 2003 also released in Germany by Trans Solar Records. Then the splendid "Black noise is the new sound!" (BCore, 04), record that made them big in France as never happened before with a BCore band. Then in 2005 with, "5th Avenue South", the most diverse and artistically successful work to date, where garage-punk is everytime more soul-driven and psychodelia flows freely in their most interesting songs.
In 2009 they record the fourth full-length of their career "The Neighbourhood", produced by Greg Foreman, member of The Delta 72 and now also playing keyboards with CatPower. An experienced and genious musician who has given an interesting twist to the raw trademark sound of the combo. This great news come after a splendid compaign that TSD have been doing around the globe in the last months: they have toured the USA and Canada, west coast from north to south, from Vancouver to San Francisco, after they were chosen to be at 2008 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. They did a good job there, so they appeared in 2009 once again. But for TSD the USA is just another country to tour, as recently they did it in Russia, not to mention the hundreds of dates they've been playing around the whole Europe. They're also becoming television favourites: MTV Europe chose them amongst other european bands to be MTV's image and sound for their new campaign; you'll hear "One more sunday" and see them play between a Christina Aguilera video and a Beyonce's one. It's not the first time they appear on a publicity campaign: we had the chance to see them load and unload a Volkswagen van in another TV commercial. Maybe TV series have noticed that, as the acclaimed Friday Night Light on Fox TV, now worldwide, have included "You gotta do it now" on chapter 8. This series is also known for featuring Explosions in the Sky as the main score writers, and you'll also hear songs by Iron & Wine, Iggy Pop and The Black Keys. So a lot of hard work and well-driven talent makes this catalan combo one of the strongest spanish acts, always ready to perform, record, then perform and then record...

Kiev widely celebrates Birthday of Rock’n’Roll music (April, 12) every year. Our Festival is dedicated to this very event. Five years on end we keep arranging the fest, encountering difficulties and problems. We arrange the fest with open hearts for such addicted to Rockabilly and Psychobilly as we are. In 2010, not taking note of economic crisis, we bravely declare, that our thematic Festival is the First-Rate and the Best Festival in Eastern Europe! This year we will try to do our best, to arrange a real cool Fest! Perfect foreign and the best Russian and Ukrainian bands will be invited. There will be a good hall, sound and illumination. There will be wonderful and serried Ukrainian and Russian crew, augmented with foreign guests. It will be cool there! If you are not a cold fish to Rockabilly and Psychobilly culture, you ought to visit our Festival and we promise – you won’t regret!

The fest will take place in Kiev on April 24-25 2010 and will gather cream of the crop psychobilly and rockabilly bands. Club "BINGO" (Peremohy avenue, 112).

Iata ca intr-un tarziu pot si eu publica evenimentul.... Dupa vreo 10 zile de incertitudine si nervi am in sfarsit confirmarea concertului... O trupa care va face un show frumos, cu un sunet aparte... Cand i-am vazut pe scena in Amigo Bar din Budapesta nu credeam ca voi reusi sa-i aduc aici, adica nici nu imi puneam problema sa vina trupa asta sacante la noi... Intamplarea a facut ca am dormit sub acelasi acoperis cu formatia astfel ca in loc sa ne vedem de odihna am stat de vorba aproape tot restul noptii, adica vreo 3-4 ceasuri... Si iata ca The Tazmanian Devils viziteaza plaiurile mioritice si vor sustine 3 concerte aici...

Si ca o mica nota personala... Itamplarea face ca nu trebuie "importate" fortat "live-uri" rockabilly din occident, deoarece asemenea evenimente se petrec aici, pe plaiurile noastre... Ar fi frumos sa se lase la o parte teama si orgoliul sau ce o fi si din cand in cand as putea ajuta ca un asemenea eveniment sa fie organizat si de catre "rocakbilly.ro"... Dar nedorindu-se cu adevarat asa ceva... uite ca evenimentele nu au loc...

Iar in final ii multumesc lui Mircea de la MPTY Zine pentru ajutorul acordat in ce priveste afisul concertului in varianta pentru web.

Si de asemenea multumesc din nou, in avans, lui Ed, Ion si Biancai pentru dorinta lor de a organiza evenimentele si pt. sprijinul ce mi-l acorda.

Ma pregateam sa scriu o tampenie pesimista cand am descoperit noul album American Werewolves - Kings Of The Cleveland Streets, o trupa horrorpunk ce-mi incalzeste sufletul de fiecare data cand o ascult... Nu cred sa aiba rost cuvinte de lauda si alta tampenii... Albumul suna criminal... Merita ascultat...

nu de mult am auzit din partea a doi tineri intrebarea... horrorpunk, cum e aia? pai ce sa zic... ia si asculta misfits daca vrei neaparat sa stii, sau si mai simplu, daca tot umbli de-ampulea prin baruri misca-ti curu' la concertul Living Dead Army si o sa afli cu stupoare ce mai e si tampenia asta, horrorpunk.... pt. toti desteptii, iata ce inseamna pt. mine asta....

...Din nou... apasari...

Ma intreb ce este corect si ce nu este corect in viata mea, viata noastra, viata celor apropiati... Ma intreb de ce nu ma pot resemna in privinta existentei din vremurile astea tulburi, poate ca nu or fi ele cu adevarat tulburi, dar dracu' mai stie... Daca tot am o sotie, 2 copilasi, de ce nu las prostiile la o parte... De ce raman blocat in muzica, de ce trebuie sa fiu dintre cei "inadaptati"? :) ... Zau ca nu stiu in clipa asta raspunsul, dar poate ca va veni in urmatoarele momente... In loc sa imi vad de lucrurile normale eu prefer sa organizez din cand in cand cate un concert, imi deschid magazin cu lucruri de care concetatenii in marea lor majoritate nu sunt interesati, nu ma imbrac strident, stralucitor, nu ascult manele, muzica pop, Roxette, Queen sau U2... Iar in sufletul meu se da mereu o batalie si cu majoritatea celor care au ce discuta cu mine trebuie sa comunic telefonic sau pe internet... Ceea ce scriu este un nonsens... Si totusi continui, nu ma pot opri... Aproape in permanenta imi vine in minte ideea preconceputa cat de aiurea e aici in tara, dar eu continui si nu ma dau batut, involuntar... Sa fiu al naibii daca vad scopul sortii... Sa fie din cauza a ceea ce inseamna muzica pentru mine, sa ma fi nascut pentru asta... La o adica nu cred ca mai conteaza..., probabil cel mai important lucru este sa fiu asa cum sunt si sa nu fortez lucrurile din moment ce asta este cursul, asa cum o fi el, deviat sau nu... Trist este ca majoritatea compatriotilor sunt niste dobitoci care se lasa calcati in picioare si care trebuie sa scuipe... si mai este trist cand unii tin mortis sa faca pe desteptii si interesantii chiar daca nu sunt nascuti sa prinda esenta lucrurilor... Si cei din urma sunt cei care latra si se dau de ceasul mortii sa iasa putin in evidenta... Vai si amar...
Pana una alta eu ma resemnez la soarta-mi de "inadaptat" si constat ca sunt foarte multumit ca ma imbarc asa cum ma simt bine, ca ascult muzica pe care o ascult, ca reusesc sa organizez cate un concert reusit, ca mi se rupe de fetele papagalilor, ca sunt oameni cu care pot schimba un gand, ca exista o mana de oameni ca mine, ca nu sunt singur, ca am niste copilasi grozavi, o sotie care ma sprijina... Da sunt bucuros ca nu sunt ca majoritatea... Nu, nu sunt deloc aparte, nu am nimic special, doar ca nu fac parte din masele care merg si se calca in picioare cand sunt reduceri la supermarket,  nu ma uit la OTV , nu ascult Queen si alte enormitati muzicale, nu ma dau a tot cunoscator, nu bag pe gat nimanui diverse informatii stupide, nu bag nimanui muzica nasoala pe gat, nu urlu in gura mare cat de tare sunt, cat de mari coaie am, nu ies cu absolut nimic in evidenta... si da MI SE RUPE DE TOTI CRETINII....

Acum 2 zile am aflat ca imi trebuie o noua locatie pentru concertul The Tazmanian Devils din 29 Ianuarie.... Mai ca nu imi vine sa anulez tot turneul... Nu ca lucrurile astea nu se intampla, dar atunci cand vrei sa faci concerte "rock" si apoi dintr-o data mai bine scoti bani cu o discoteca parca te loveste greata ...

Iar la inceputul asta de an ma simt putin mai increzator... Parca... nu stiu sigur... Sau poate ca sunt doar mai nostalgic decat pana acum...

Iar aceasta este ultima mea decizie luata intr-un timp nu prea scurt...

Un eveniment 3 Ceasuri Rele si Gluga Neagra

Nu am mai scris nimic de o vreme. Nici nu  prea am ce scrie, de fapt. Copilasii sunt bolnavi de o vreme, sunt satul de situatia din tara, voi face concert cu The Tazmanian Devils, am deschis un mic magazin cu profil rock'n'roll, cum imi place mie sa spun, dupa unii destepti este EMO. :) Aia sa mearga si sa impuste in cur ca sa le urce mintea inapoi in dovleac. Rockabilly romania a si-a tinut petrecerea cu haine si muzica pop. In curand raman fara permis, astept un concert Mad Sin care inca este indepartat... Cu putin noroc fac si un concert horrorpunk cu Living Dead Army, din Ungaria. mi-am luat bocanci noi si o pereche de Zombie Attack de la T.U.K. Si un tricou camuflaj si ascult noul album The Rosedales... Imi bat capul cu proaspata mea intrare "in afaceri". Citesc pe apucate cate o carte si ascult muzica pe cat se poate. Si sunt apatic. Obosit, sfarsit, lovit de nostalgie sau ce naiba o fi. Asa, sa nu uit, trebuie sa merg sa montez anvelopele de iarna. Si tanajesc dupa niste tricouri de la Lucky 13... Si sa-i vad pe Nekromantix in concert. Si sa vad din nou Social Distortion si sa invie Larsson ca sa-si continue seria Millennium... Si sa invie Joey Ramone ca sa il pot asculta pe viu si sa invie si Lux Interior ca sa vad si The Cramps in concert... Si apoi sa-mi vad copii punk-rock - eri si sa imi iau bull-terrierul mult dorit si sa vina vara... Si as vrea sa ma duc undeva departe intr-o lume imaginata... Si sa stau acolo cu cei care conteaza pentru mine... Si as vrea sa-l vad pe Lemmy din nou... Si as vrea sa pot disparea ori de cate ori simt nevoia... Si as vrea sa dispara stresul si nebunia si relele astea ce ne inconjoara sa dispara totul... politicieni si smecheri si atotstiutori si politisti si snobi... sa ramana numai cei ce conteaza... si as mai vrea sa-mi dispara framantarile din suflet si sa ma pot bucura de lucrurile marunte si sa nu mai enervez pentru nimic si sa fiu linistit si impacat cu mine si cu lumea...

a mai avut loc o mini serie de concerte... pana acum nu m-am dat batut si mai ca nu inteleg de ce... doua luucruri ma motiveaza sa-mi fut nervii si banii... cei cativa, mai bine zis cele vreo 300 de oameni care ajung la concertele cu chiu cu vai planuite de mine... si apoi este ceea ce simt pentru muzica... si mai vreau sa le multumesc din toata inima lui Ed, Ion si Biancai pt. eforturile depuse ca acest turneu amarat sa aiba loc... si mai vreau sa le trimit numai ganduri bune (mortii mamii lor) celor care au reusit sa futa cu brio seara din Timisoara si nervii mei... sunt tot felul de trupe, dar unii care se cred vedete si de fapt sunt niste labe triste ar trebui sa se impuste... de preferat in coaie, cu alice... oameni talentati care le stiu pe toate... vai si amar.. acum nu mai conteaza... nu vreu sa dau nume pe aici, asadar cei care vor citi pe aici nu cred sa priceapa f. mult... este vorba de o trupa de muzica "rock" f. originala care nu avea ce sa caute in seara de vineri 13 in TM, dar s-au incapatat sa ajunga acolo... a fost trist... dar poate ca nu au realizat asta.. ideea este ca toate cele 4 concerte ale Ati Edge & The Shadowbirds au fost incendiare si apreciate dupa cum trebuie... cam atat am avut de spus...
