Brigitte Handley & The Dark Shadows

Ar putea fi punk-rock, ar putea fi psychobilly sau orice altceva.

The Dark Shadows sound has been described as “dark edged punk noir”. Imagine The Clash entwined with Marlene Dietrich, The Banshees sprinkled with a 50 ' s sci-fi soundtrack…
The sharp cutting edge of the Danelectro slices up a contrast of dynamic tones to haunting atmospherics whilst the thundering bass and drums set the scene for the Dark Shadows to emerge...
Just when you thought it was safe to look what lies behind the curtain, Shadows appear looming over and engulfing you with their presence and sound.
The Dark Shadows songs range from being alienated in a world afraid of difference to laments of love that is lost.
This Sydney based 3 piece has toured extensively throughout Australia and the USA, playing with bands such as ‘Black Rebel Motorcycle Club' (USA), The Stray Cats (USA), Marky Ramone (USA) Meteors (UK), ‘The Quakes' (USA), ‘Batmobile' (NL), ‘Demented Are Go' (UK), ‘Mad Sin' (Germany), ‘Frenzy' (UK), ‘The Angry Tradesmen' (AUS), Pierced Arrows (ex Dead Moon USA), Hola Ghost (Denmark) ‘The Fireballs' , ‘Guana Batz', ‘Koffin Kats' (USA) ‘Rezurex'.
The Dark Shadows have just returned from their ‘Darkness Calls Tour' which kicked off in Australia, supporting the Stray Cats and Marky Ramone, followed by 5 weeks touring throughout Europe & USA with appearances at the Psychomania Rumble in Berlin, Ink 'n' Iron Festival in Long Beach CA, USA. The recent success and attention from this tour has secured the band a return US tour in October 09 including an invitation to open for Tiger Army (USA) and 45 Grave (Los Angeles) at Octoberflame at The Grove of Anaheim, CA USA.
